Bush confident in integrity of vote-counting systems
Bush confident in integrity of vote-counting systems

SCOTT LINDLAW, Associated Press Writer
Saturday, September 4, 2004

(09-04) 11:59 PDT BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) --

President Bush said Saturday he was confident in the integrity of ballot-counting systems throughout the country, but his campaign manager said GOP lawyers stood ready to "to make sure all eligible voters can vote" four years after the Florida recount.

"We learned some lessons in the last campaign that we've got to be -- that we needed election reforms," Bush said at a question-and-answer session with supporters in Ohio. A law was passed "to encourage good, honest elections and to make sure that the registrations are good and honest, to make sure that every ballot is counted."

The president's remarks were in response to a question about counting military ballots, a major point of contention in the 2000 recount. Election officials rejected hundreds of military absentee ballots, many because they lacked postmarks or signatures.

"I'm confident that there will be a greater awareness when it comes to counting these ballots," Bush said.

4. Can't use 'bush' * 'integrity' in the same sentence
without 'lack of' in there somewhere. Of course he is confident in the integrity of the machines.
A) He doesn't understand the meaning of the word

B) The puppetmasters told him the machines would make him king, patted his little head and sent him off to bed

13. We know that

but what is being done? An army of lawyers watching the polls is pitiful compared to the good they might do challenging Diebold's paperless rigging. We had observers and an army of lawyers in Florida in 2002, and it seems apparent to me, despite the media blackout on the mere hint of such an occurrence, that electronic rigging was very predominant and tested very successfully. The diligent observers had not benefit of a paper ballot as they did in Venezuela. It does not figure large in their prioritized concerns,. Nor does it seem to for the DNC, mainly geared as it is for GOTV and poll watching.

Yet the fearful principle of invisible ballots adjudicated without recourse by GOP companies has been validated all up and down the system and the certification violations- not to mention your worst fears realized about the people controlling the private codes. This distraction from an obvious Bush ploy, as idiotically simple as it is distaste for some esteemed institutions to weigh, is to ignore the inevitable.

Even with some October Surprise there is no other way Bush can trust winning. Confidence simply means fraud is king. That the minority Dems are battling fine points of HAVA through Congress with little public debate does not inspire me with similar confidence at all. I fear for the integrity of overseas ballots, machine voting and the usual myriad of smaller techniques- unchallenged, unforeseen. The main damage to GOP fraud in 2002 occurred when GOP officials turned on their own! Otherwise it was the FBI raiding old folks homes in Vermont.

LaPore's open fraud and remianing in her position for November is a sign of the inability to heal this situation enough, in time. Even a Kerry victory will be damaged by unchallenged fraud.

14. At this point in time, either Kerry/Edwards makes a stink, or...
all we do is raise awareness for the inevitable "after the theft" election reform movement.

16. So confident, he is personally urging Iowa Republicans....
... to vote by absentee ballot. My daughter in Iowa City, who is still registered as a Republican, but intends to vote for Kerry, informs me that she got a recorded telephone message from "Dubya" himself urging her to vote by absentee ballot to safe guard the integrity of the election.

Again, these bastards speak out of both sides of their mouths!
