WP: Invoking 9/11 May Temper Views on Iraq War
At last week's Republican convention, President Bush and Vice President Cheney repeatedly linked the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and the war in Iraq, largely abandoning the rationale offered when the Bush administration invaded the Persian Gulf country.

Announcing the invasion on March 19, 2003, Bush said in a nationwide televised address that the United States "will not live at the mercy of an outlaw regime that threatens the peace with weapons of mass murder." Two days earlier, Bush had asserted in another address to the nation, "Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised."

But no such weapons were found after the invasion, and the subject was only fleetingly mentioned from the podium in Madison Square Garden. Instead, the war on Iraq was presented as a part of a seamless thread that stemmed directly from the terrorism of the Sept. 11 attacks. "We have fought the terrorists across the earth -- not for pride, not for power, but because the lives of our citizens are at stake," Bush said, before listing Iraq along with the struggle against terrorist groups in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Ever since the failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, the Bush administration has searched for explanations for how to defend the war, such as the need to bring freedom to the Middle East and to end the brutal nature of Iraqi president Saddam Hussein's government. With Bush's convention speech, the administration laid out its most sweeping case to date -- and campaign officials are betting voters will buy this retooled version of the need to go to war.

2. You're right, time to get on that
I'm sure there was a lot of bullshit puked out at the love fest that can be used against them. I couldn't stomach watching much of it, but it's got to be there, they can hardly open their mouths without sticking a foot in it.

3. Bob Graham's book will counter this
If we can get it out there.

He makes it clear that Iraq was a MAJOR MISTAKE in the war on terror, and why.

Graham book: Inquiry into 9/11, Saudi ties blocked

"Bush had concluded that ''a nation-state that had aided the terrorists should not be held publicly to account,'' Graham wrote. ``It was as if the president's loyalty lay more with Saudi Arabia than with America's safety.'"

4. Oh SHIT ! It worked.<<<BLOODLUST>>>
People fell for the shameless stunt of using that horrific tragedy as a political prop. This is THE LIE. They are able to turn the peoples' bloodlust for 911 into support for their belligerance.

Is it still true that two-thirds of Americans believe that Saddam was directly involved in the attacks?!

The egg to crack in this campaign is to break this link in people's minds. It is impossible to perceive the scope of Bush*s failures if you still think we invaded Iraq because of 911. Hopefully Graham's book can kick start this process. EVERTHING depends on it.

Kerry says Bush* is unfit because he misled. Yet two-thirds are still misled. We must accept that this is true, as unthinkable as it may sound.

6. What about the biggest flip of all-
Douche's with us or against us declaration, where he insisted that even if you just provided support for terrorists you are by definition a terrorist. Yet he sent forty three million dollars to the taliban in May, 2001, and according to Graham's book he allowed as to how he couldn't hold nation-states responsible for supporting terrorism. (of course, that was Saudi Arabia)

5. Invoking 9/11 May Temper Views on Iraq War
The only way this will work is if you are essentially a IGNORANT BIGOT or WHITE SUPREMEST who believes that since brown people caused 911, BROWN PEOPLE MUST DIE! Any brown people. The more the better. It doesn't matter to the BIGOT if the brown people we murder were responsible for 911.

FOR ALL OF OUR bush* SUPPORTING VISITORS:

Meet Ali. He was an 11 year old Iraqi, and the only crime he committed was being born brown. No one in his country possessed WMD. No one in his country threatened the USA. And yet, mr. bush* with your support decided that it was necessary to dis-arm Ali. mr. bush*, with your help, also blew off Ali's legs with a bomb. You and mr. bush* also killed his mother, his father, and and his three brothers and sisters.

Ali later died from his injuries.

mr bush*, with the help of his LEAGUE of CONSERVATIVE BIGOTS (the republican party) has killed over 14,000 brown people who DID NOT and COULD NOT threaten the USA.

So spare me the lie that our troops are defending the USA in IRAQ. Whether you admit it or not, you know the TRUTH.

If you claim that you are a Christian, then you believe that one day you will stand before your creator. How are you going to explain Ali to HIM?
God will laugh in your face if you try to tell Him you were defending America
