Former President Bill Clinton had received some 15,000 get-well messages by yesterday afternoon as he spent the day in a Manhattan hospital where he is to have heart bypass surgery this week. The messages, sent to the Web site of his foundation, www.clintonpresidentialcenter.org, wished Clinton a speedy recovery and offered prayers. Some of the notes came from people who had undergone the same type of surgery. ..

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said outside the hospital Friday night that her husband would have surgery early in the week and that more information on his condition would be given out then. Neither the hospital nor Clinton's office released any updates yesterday. Clinton and the couple's daughter, Chelsea, were seen entering the hospital yesterday afternoon. ..
