New Kerry Ad Exposes Bush Misleading on Medicare
U.S. Newswire

The Kerry-Edwards campaign Saturday unveiled a new television ad revealing once again that there is a difference between what George Bush says and what George Bush does -- this time on Medicare.

On Thursday in his convention speech, Bush claimed seniors are getting relief from his Medicare bill, but the next morning, he imposed the biggest hike in Medicare's history.

Featuring footage of Bush speaking at the convention, the ad gives the American people the opportunity to see that there is a difference between what their president says and what their president does.

"The largest premium hike in Medicare's history isn't 'immediate help,' it's the wrong direction for our seniors," said Kerry- Edwards campaign spokesperson Phil Singer. "The choice in this election is clear: if voters want a president who gives billions to the drug companies, stick with George Bush. If voters want a president who will lead America in a new direction and put the needs of seniors first, vote for John Kerry."

The ad will be rotated into markets across the country and also air nationally on cable.

1. Excellent, bring it home Kerry! If America wants a jester for a president
vote for Mr. Funny guy, (insert WMD joke here), if America wants serious, steady, proven, reliable leadership...John Kerry's here!

2. This is really important -- get this news to all

the senior citizens and disabled Americans you know. People who depend on their Social Security retirement or disability benefits checks will not be happy to have an extra 17% deducted for Medicare after Bush* has just told them that his Medicare bill helps them. People are also finding out that the Medicare prescription drugs supplement is a much-ballyhooed bunch of hooey.

Tell people about this -- the Bush*ies put it out late Friday, hoping the long weekend plus Hurricane Frances would bury it in the news. They hope most older Americans won't know this on November 2.

3. Kerry should make a commercial of every single example of bush saying
he'll do one thing and then doing exactly the opposite. everything from being a uniter to a divider, and education, economy, all of his flip-flops... bush is a liar, period.

6. It's Iraq, stupid.

This kind of stuff is right on target but off the mark. Medicare, Social Security, the deficit, important issues but they are not the battlegrounds on which this battle has to be fought.

Turn this campaign over to Michael Moore.
