Even as Frances battered Florida, another hurricane formed Sunday in the central Atlantic and quickly strengthened with a potential for following a path similar to the one that Frances followed.

6. WE JUST GOT OUT OF FRANCES' WRATH and are not looking forward to IVAN

we just got out from under France's wrathful path. Our house is intact and we,my husband and I, as well as my son and his girlfriend, as well as our neighbors and close friends are all OKAY AND WE THANK GOD FOR THAT ... but we lost part of our fence on the southside of the house and we are thankful that my husband CAN replace it (he thought as soon as tomorrow Monday, Labor Day ... although after looking at Ivan's path he may decide to take a wait-and-see approach to rebuilding the fence). Our neighborhood lost power on Friday morning at 10:30 AM and it was not restored until Sunday Night at about 11:50 PM). Listening to the wind roar and things striking the house (branches all..no fallen trees thank God!) was very anxiety provoking... our two minipinschers were very nervous and our little turtle did not like the darkness of a boarded up home. The hardest and most difficult thing for me to contend with was the fact of not having any light, especially at night. You could say that the turtle and I became soul sisters: I didn't like the darkness of a boarded up home either. I am not looking forward to having to go through this so soon all over again should Ivan's path not veer away back into the ocean, but if we have to go through this again {we have decided to keep the house all boarded up until we know what Ivan is going to do}, I would hope that God would be as good to us as he was during Frances and that he would also make IVAN move through VERY FAST. FRANCES was a CRAWLER and that didn't sit well with many of us.

I think perhaps God is using Florida to make a statement against the Bush power grab and their potential repetition of it...and may God forgive me if I am using His Name in vain.

7. My only question is

Does Cuba not have any reporting on its damage, have no damage, or have measures already in place to limit hurricane damage.

I suspect the latter, hell, I'd take Castro over a F'in Bush as my leader in a heartbeat - even if he is an evil UN-lovin' socialist pinko commie :eyes:

8. My parents...

were supposed to take a cruise out of Miami next week but after the recent news of Frances and now possibly Ivan, they have decided to postpone it.

9. This hurricane already set a record

It is the strongest hurricane to form so far south. St. Lucia, Martinique, Barbados, Dominica are all in grave danger methinks.

Looks like their honeymoon will be all wet, pardon the pun. That really sucks, if anyone deserves a vacation its them :-(
