Bush Links Kerry To Howard Dean Over Latest Iraq Stance
http://www.international.nasdaq.com/asp/gmWorldNews.asp&headl">WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)

President George W. Bush Tuesday sought to link his Democratic rival, Senator John Kerry, to the failed campaign of one-time Democratic presidential contender Howard Dean.

In a speech to supporters in Lee's Summit, Missouri, Bush charged that Kerry has shifted his position yet again on Iraq and now embraces the stance Dean, the former governor of Vermont, campaigned on before his candidacy imploded. ..

2. Oh, you fool! You just gave Dean a chance to speak to you directly
Edited on Tue Sep-07-04 01:02 PM by khephra
BIG MISTAKE!

Kerry can distance himself from Dean's statements. NO BIG DEAL.

But now you've given Dean a chance to ride your stupid ass for the rest of the campaign--and the press will have to cover what Dean says now. The Press loves theatrics, and Dean gave them some of the best political "stage" that they've had for the past 20 years. They're going to love a Bush vs. Dean fight! (especially since Dean can't win now. He's "safe" to showcase now.)

BIG MISTAKE.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!
(Happy Dean Scream!)

The General had the same stance as Dean on the War for Oil. Why not mention him too huh? Or just about anyone who was right about your corrupt war.

16. Because Dean commented on Iraq yesterday
and attacked Bush. Clark and Dean's stances are similar, but Clark isn't out there attacking Bush right now so he's not a threat or someone that the Right thinks they can use.

BUT BOY, did they pick the wrong man to pick a fight over. Dean won't back down and has nothing to lose. He only gets more popular when he fights back.

Plus he has a new book out. A Bush vs Dean fight won't hurt book sales.

;-)

20. Not exactly quiet
He's doing a lot of campaigning for both Kerry and the Dean's Dozen. Also he has a new book out and a weekly editorial column. He's just not in the mainstream media.

This will put him right back there. And Dean stands more to gain from this than Bush does.

17. Uh-oh...!
A USA Today/CNN/Gallup poll now puts Bush at seven percentage points ahead of Kerry.

That's down 4 points since the Time/Newsweek poll reported Friday that had * leading Kerry 52-41.

I also like this statement:
Bush emerged from the Labor Day weekend with a new sense of momentum in his campaign.

Yeah, right... :eyes:

I smell desperation at the GOP...

And this is bad because....?

What a moron. Dean would've tore King George a new ass in a debate, and all he's doing is inviting Dean to do exactly that.

And I'm get tired of this reference to Dean "imploding." He didn't implode, he just didn't get enough votes.

Plus Dean was right!

and you're not planning to vote for Kerry; so why are you posting on this board? Just curious.

By the way, history lesson; it was NOT DEAN Kerry was quoting from. Give ya a hint; "extending the Korean war".
