Britons Want Bush Out, Poll Reveals
Britons Want Bush Out, Poll Reveals

The vast majority of Britons would like to see US president George Bush voted out of office in November’s election, according to a poll today.

While Americans are increasingly backing Mr Bush for another term, only 29% of Britons would like to see him return to the White House.

<snip>

Thirty-five per cent of Conservative supporters prefer Mr Bush, compared with 38% of Labour voters.

Nearly half of supporters from both parties prefer Mr Kerry.

1. W is a uniter
...unites the world against him (and let's hope the world continues to separate W from America and Americans. I know he won't be elected in November, but if he were to be then the separation of Bush and state will dissolve.

23. They will continue to separate U.S. from Him AS LONG
as we don't JOIN him by electing him. After that the honeymoon is over.

5. I talked to some Britons in Canada(Niagara Falls)
Edited on Tue Sep-07-04 08:26 PM by zidzi
and they said they were traveling all over..I said.."the USA?"..and he said.."everywhere but there!"..I knew by his expression what he meant so I said.."we're going to have an election soon!"

I loved Canada..the Canadians were so friendly especially when they saw my Kerry/Edwards pin!

24. I told multiple anti-Bush jokes in Canada
at bars, and in public. They hate his guts and I never offended a single solitary person. Canada is looking awfully nice. Did any germans flee after Hitler came to power?

8. God bless the Brits - why can't they vote in our election?
If we could get the world to vote in our elections we would rule the liberal vote! How can we get this passed as part of our election for president?

28. British voters did use to run our country, before they were a democracy
Bush is a fuck up, but he's our fuck up. I think that it's an important principle that people from each country should be responsible for getting rid of their own bastards. I seem to recall some guy named Wilson talking about self determination in history class.

21. Here! Here!
My opinion of the British people is sinking by the week. They'll take to the streets by the thousands to protest against Bush but are doing nothing to get rid of his right hand man Tony Blair aka Mussolini II.

is an "increasingly backing Mr Bush for another term"????

Man, talk about spinning it.

Perhaps Blair is jealous of Zell? junior uses people like he uses toilet paper.

18. Bush is a liability.
Having a president that can not go to any major western country and make a public appearance without a riot breaking out is a liability. For this reason alone he's a security risk. How can we expect cooperation from our allies when they hate our government and it's leader?

19. The world has waited patiently 4 years
Edited on Wed Sep-08-04 07:44 AM by Buzzz
for the U.S. to get its democracy in order and correct the flawed election that mistakenly swept the goofy, small-minded corporatists into office. A very unpleasant and very costly 4 years. With no sign of maturity or reconciliation in sight it may be time to write the U.S. off as a backward nation.

one way or the other, but mostly Kerry's way.
Britain is an important ally, and we want to keep it that way.

26. The World is in Shock the Election is Close
I've told any who would listen that the world has not been anti-American and in fact loves America and its ideals. They are anti-Bush, where ever you go. America has escaped wrath because most do not feel Bush WAS elected. Should Americans join Bush instead of throwing him out, I predict, tragically, we will begin learning the true meaning of anti-Americanism.
