Albright calls Cheney charge on terror "irresponsible

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Vice President Dick Cheney (news - web sites)'s charge that the United States could be hit by another terrorist attack if Democrat John Kerry (news - web sites) is elected president was irresponsible, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright (news - web sites) said.

"I have heard a lot of outrageous statements at various times in my president's elections, but I think this kind of scare tactic by the vice president of the United States is irresponsible," Albright, a Democrat who served under Bill Clinton (news - web sites), told CNN television.

You go girl!

3. Unfortunately, there may be some truth in his statement.
Of course, given the close relationship of the Bush crime syndicate and the House of Saudi.

4. She also said
that she'd seen/heard a lot of outrageous things, but this was "the most outrageous." I saw a clip just a bit ago.

18. We can take comfort this most outrageous comment will be followed by
plenty of other most outrageous comments. Only a Cheneying zealot would considering making such a Cheneying comment: They will, without fear of contradiction, do any- and everything thought necessary to be re inaugurated.

6. She needs to use stronger language..
Using the word "irresponsible" is almost as bad as Tom Daschle being "troubled". We need to be more forceful with our words: crazy, ridiculous, insane, ludicrous, careless, reckless, and stupid are just a few that come to mind.

11. As much as I despise Newt Gingrich, he was on to something..
...when he came up with his list of words to use in describing Democrats. We need to have our own list to describe Republicans. The reason Dems are tagged as being 'wishy-washy' is because we use vague language to attack our opponents.

12. How about he's a f...ing liar??
I'm really disturbed that we don't have more Kerry people just getting angry as hell when all these surrogates of Bush start their banging away at Kerry. I've heard this said today--Albright--irresponsible, Edwards, unpatriotic, but he said it with gentleness. Where is their spunk??? Get with it guys. Susan Rice said to one his henchmen today that he was grossly misrepresenting Kerry's position on how he would handle terror. I want to scream when they can't be more forceful. Where is Carville! Kerry needs someone who can out shout the Bushco's people.

15. I'd use "Jerk".
It's not vulgar, but it would attract attention. Something to the effect of, "He's a real jerk for saying that."

16. "If Terrorists Attack, It's Bush/Cheney's Admin. that allowed it"!
This should be the come-back by the Democrats, and any other American that has more than 2 brain cells to rub together! That if they're going to allow another terrorist attack against this country, YET AGAIN, then they surely AREN'T fit to lead, nor are they keeping Americans AND THEIR VOTES safe!! All the more reason they should be booted out.

17. That is why this great woman is also one of the greatest
diplomats we have ever had; she doesn't have to be nastier, she did a good thing just by responding to it.
Great people only need to respond and leave the dirty work to the talking heads

20. great woman indeed
"Albright has been widely condemned for remarks she made during on interview on December 5, 1996, for the 60 Minutes television program. On the theme of US sanctions against Iraq, Lesley Stahl asked:

We have heard that half a million children have died. I mean, that's more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?

Albright replied:

I think this is a very hard choice, but the price -- we think the price is worth it.

21. WE need ALL democrats out there outraged about this! America
has awoken and we are not putting up with these outrageous lies one minute more! The fact that Cheney would even go there speaks volumes about the fact that this administration has lost all of it's credibility with Americans. They are only talking propaganda.
