Kissinger says Bush was correct
CLEVELAND(AP)

Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger was in Cleveland today talking about the war in Iraq. ..

Today in Cincinnati, Kerry argued that the president was wrong on Iraq. He says Bush's policies have led to havens for terrorists.

Kissinger says he supports President Bush.

Kissinger's speech was the first of four City Club forums leading up to the vice presidential debate October fifth at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

3. He would, wouldn't he?
This story doesn't have anything Kissinger said, but Kissinger is not any ordinary player in this game. He has a history, and it's been decidedly imperial.

5. Funny.
Kissenger wrote an editorial before the war critical of the Doctrine of Preemptive Warfare, saying it could open a pandora's box of war, giving India or Pakistan a blank check for aggression...

12. no
that's Cheney, Darth Sidious.

Powell is Darth Vader.

Wolfwitz is Darth Tyrannus.

Ashcroft is Darth Maul.

Rumsfeld is The Penguin

Bush is The Joker.

20. Keeping the analogies related....
Rumsfeld is Grand Moff Tarkin (miserable failure from a military standpoint)

Rove is Jabba the Hut (the provincial power, sending bounty hunters out to do his dirty work; and repulsive besides)

Ari Fleischer and Scott McClellan could interchangeably fit the role of Bib Fortuna

Bush is the little jabbering, rodent-like critter, that scurries about on Jabba's body

Note that Cheney remains the primary malevolent figure, whilst the Texas contingent are merely bit players in the larger play.

14. Henry Kissinger is a vile War Criminal
Henry Kissinger is a vile War Criminal

"Today Americans would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los
Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful. This is
especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from
beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very
existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead with
world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every
man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario,
individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee
of their well being granted to them by their world government."

Henry Kissinger, Speaking at Evian, France, May 21, 1992. Bilderberg
meeting.

17. It was Kissinger that set up the Iranian fiasco in the 70s.
He pushed Nixon and Ford to prop up the Shah in the face of opposition from the radical Shiite Ayatollahs. And then he pressured Carter to let the Shah into the U.S. for medical treatment-which set off the takeover of the U.S. embassy.

Kissinger was also the architect of the "Peace with Honor" lie in Vietnam.

Kissinger is not a useful barometer about the soundness of the Iraq policy.

THE TRIALS OF HENRY KISSINGER www.thetrialsofhenrykissinger.com/trials.html
-------------------------------------------
The illegal we do immediately. The unconstitutional takes a little longer

"I don't see why we need to stand by and watch a country go communist due to the irresponsibility of its people. The issues are much too important for the Chilean voters to be left to decide for themselves."

"Why should we flagellate ourselves for what the Cambodians did to each other?"

"Covert action should not be confused with missionary work." (Kissinger commenting on the U.S. sellout of the Kurds in Iraq in 1975)

Edited on Wed Sep-08-04 10:54 PM by aint_no_life_nowhere
for 11 years just before Bush made him the Caliph of Baghdad. Something tells me that old Henry Kissinger himself was also playing a role in post-war Iraq behind the scenes. A look at the client list he refused to reveal when he was appointed to head Bush's 9/11 panel, which forced his resignation, would be very interesting.
