Bush administration puts off roadless rule changes
The Associated Press

The Bush administration is putting off changes that would have allowed more logging in national forests.

The government says it will wait until after the November election before making a final decision on a plan to allow road building and logging on 58 million acres of remote forests. ..

Agriculture Undersecretary Mark Rey says the delay is a fairly straightforward response to requests from a variety of groups for more time. He says it's unrelated to the election.
