2 Covington (Va) teachers fired for showing video of beheading
Two teachers at Jackson River Technical Center in Covington were fired last week for showing students video of the beheading of an American in Iraq.

They join a long list of teachers around the country punished for showing students a one-minute clip of Nicholas Berg being killed by alleged al-Qaida operatives.

Frith said Thomas initially said no to the eight students who wanted to see the video. But they argued that they were all 18, were nursing students and had seen a lot.

"They're treated differently," Frith said. "They're 18, they go to Iraq, they vote, they serve in the military."

1. I have mixed feelings here
But if I were their boss I very much doubt I would fire them- but that is a pretty risky way for anyone to get across a message
