Duncan (R) says he hopes Bush withdraws troops from Iraq
KNOXVILLE (AP) -- Tennessee Congressman John Duncan says he hopes President Bush will announce plans to withdraw troops from Iraq.

The Knoxville Republican told The Knoxville News-Sentinel Wednesday most Americans don't want the cost in soldiers' lives and tax dollars that a decade or more in Iraq could entail.

It should be mentioned in Duncan's favor that he voted against the Iraq Resolution.

And yet, he doesn't know about the 14 permanent military bases the Bush admin has been building in Iraq?
