GOP Riled By 2 CNN Hosts
Edited on Thu Sep-09-04 10:50 PM by ruggerson
New York Times

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/09/10/politics/campaign/10advisers.html

The Bush campaign has questioned CNN's allowing James Carville and Paul Begala to continue as commentators despite their role as informal advisers to the Kerry campaign.

"It seems highly irregular that CNN would tolerate two employees' openly working and advising and appearing on behalf of the John Kerry for President campaign," Steve Schmidt, a Bush spokesman, said Wednesday.

In retooling its message since the Republican National Convention, the Kerry organization has taken increasingly keen interest in advice from Mr. Begala and Mr. Carville, who were political strategists for President Bill Clinton and are now the liberal co-hosts of the CNN program "Crossfire," opposite the conservative co-hosts, Robert Novak and Tucker Carlson

And by the way, do you want us to get rid of Daryn "limbaugh's bimbaugh" Kagan, too? How 'bout Wolf Blitzer? Paula Zahn? Candy Crowley? Bill Schneider? Judy Woodruff? Bill Hemmer? Carol Lin? Bob Novak? Tucker Carlson? Larry King? They're all distressingly biased, too...

42. "Will CNN cave to Bush??"
I don't know if that would be a bad thing, getting these guys kicked off will surely stir up more anger. Democrats as a whole are rapidly approaching a point where they truly will get off their lazy asses and get involved, democrats are getting really close to the point where they are willing to walk, lock step just as the republicans do. The bush cowards team has pushed democrats to the point where it will not take much to start seeing them stop drinking coffee and talking about issues and actually doing something. We have the power , we just need to shut up and do something.

54. Maybe. But the real question is:

Will the marching begin before or after the shooting starts?

If it doesn't happen before the election and a bush win thru BBV, etc, there are elements on the left that would love to incite violence, and now there is no longer a ban on assault rifles. And they make noise. I think their goal is to start the revolution, and with the anger out there now it won't take much of a spark.

32. Amen. They are supposed to take sides.
That is what CNN pays them to do.

CNN can't have a one sided debate. Then it would be FOX.
If Novak can stay on after feloniously outing Plame, then anyone can stay on.

5. If I'm Not Mistaken
Carl Cameron's wife worked for the Bush campaign in 2000 (and probably does now, too) and it didn't semm to bother them back then.

Matter of Fox, using this thinking, wouldn't we have to ban Fox News entirely?

AND... if my memory serves me correctly, the Supreme Court ruled for Bush under "equal protection", because he was led to believe he was the actual winner, and it would do him and the country extreme stress if he was not allowed to be president. WOnder where that fucker will be working this time around?

Fighting back against Republicans isn't fair, as they see it. Pathetic bastards.

They must have all the advantages, ALL the time. Nothing should prevent their total control of everything at all times. That's the way the Supreme Lord Fauntleroy wants it!

60. They ARE "girlie-men." They only want to play "fair" when they've
slanted the playing field, marked all the cards, loaded all the dice, tarred all the bats, greased all the balls, bought off all the referees, bribed the umpires, taken their steroids when they thought nobody was looking, slipped something into the other team's Gatorade, and made sure the game could be called at any point in which they decided they were ahead - even though the clock hadn't run out yet.
