MSNBC reporting Guard memos may be false
This is not good folks. We need to insist on finding the purpetrators of the fraud if there is one or this will innoculate * from further criticism...

On top of it, Killian's widow and son are saying the whole thing is bogus... This may not be a winning game for us.

2. Damage is already done... even Karl Rove knows that.
and next cab off the rank... KITTY KELLEY.

Doesn't matter if the allegations are true or not. Some mud sticks.

Suck it up, GOP girlie men.

7. Re: Lurking
I pay attention, but it takes a lot to get me to post, I guess... I'm pretty concerned about anything that pushes up *'s credibility, and the last thing we need is to have something look bad at a time when the media pukes seem intent on endorsing *...

8. Well Even If It IS, One Question Remains
WHERE THE HELL WAS HE??

OK two questions: WITH WHOM DID YOU SERVE MR. PRESIDENT?

Fuck it, play their game. If you get them explaining, you win. And he's got some explaining to do about the Guard that he hasn't done. He's been lying for a long time, and it's time to call him on it.

13. That *is* a non-proportional font.
Edited on Thu Sep-09-04 11:37 PM by Zynx
Supposedly 1970's typewriters don't use that. They would use something like Courier.

That's a tough point to get around for this being real - if it actually is a true point.

Could someone look into this?

11. Back in 1983...
...at my first tech writing job, we had an IBM Selectric typewriter that was built in the Late '60s. By changing the ball that had the type on it, you could change type faces - and Times Roman was an option. And the superscript "th" was available.

My opinion? Those features were available when those documents were produced. And Bush was AWOL.

12. Look CBS will cave under pressure...
CBS will cave under pressure and back pedal some and say they no longer have confidence in the memos.

Essentially they will say they can not verify if they are real or not.

So all you people falling on the grenade and saying THEY ARE REAL. What are you going to say when this happens.

14. I'm not so sure of that
They explicitly state the documents are real. They have a reputation to uphold, they are a news organization. They are not a Tabloid.

19. BTW, Greyhawk...
First, welcome to DU! :hi:

Second, the rule here on Latest Breaking News is to post the first few paragrahs of a story, along with the link for those who want to foollow it.

And the title of your thread must be the title of the article - in this case, your title should read "Authenticity of Bush memos questioned".
