Cheney: Economic Stats Miss EBay Sales

CINCINNATI (AP) - Indicators measure the nation's unemployment rate, consumer spending and other economic milestones, but Vice President Dick Cheney (website - news - bio) says it misses the hundreds of thousands who make money selling on eBay.

"That's a source that didn't even exist 10 years ago," Cheney told an audience in Ohio. "Four hundred thousand people make some money trading on eBay."

Think of all the $$$$$ they are raking in - literally! Donald Trump eat your heart out! Back to garage sales - tons of missing $ to up the economy. I don't yardsale myself but I have friends who will go out an blow a wad yardsaleing. They really have to clean out their change purse to get ever thing they want. Earrings a dime a pair. Hardcover books for a quarter. Big time spenders!

He might as well say illegal drug trade is another huge source of income....
While he is at it, might as well throw up stealing paintings and selling them....

Hell, he should even mention create your own corporation and then drive it into the ground, only after collecting millions from it!

Now we've got it straight from the dick's mouth. They are seriously trying to count people who are selling odds and ends and the shirt off their backs as small business owners. I wouldn't be surprised to find out they already changed the calculations and that's why the unemployment numbers don't match the payroll numbers.
