Bush Has Already Won the 2004 Contest, Ralph Nader Declares
Newhouse News Service

Democrat John Kerry has already lost the 2004 presidential race and the country should get ready for another four years of Republican George W. Bush's leadership, Ralph Nader said Thursday.

"Bush is mocking him, he's taunting him," Nader said. "There's no strategy by the Democrats." ..

"My guess is that this is Ralph Nader seeking revenge against Democrats for their attacks on him and keeping him off the ballot in a number of states," said Larry Sabato, a University of Virginia political scientist. ..

Overall, however, Thomas Mann, an analyst at the Brookings Institution, called Nader's comments "utterly foolish." He suggested that Nader "team up with Sen. Zell Miller," the Georgia Democrat who delivered the strongest attack on Kerry at the Republican National Convention. ..

to a man to truly feel sorry for...

He once stood for something, but no more

12. not to stir up anything....
but I saw Nader on TV a couple of days ago. It looks like he's had a stroke, because one side of his face is much more animated than the other.

Is it possible he's not well?

50. I've started to wonder about that.
Nader has always had a very strong ego, but his comments and behavior have become more and more bizarre.

There are some illnesses, such as Alzheimer's and frontal lobe dementia, that cause marked changes in behavior and personality.

35. He is sad, but I don't feel sorry for him.
I admired him also, but that was a long time ago. I lost my admiration for him, long before I lost my respect for him. There was a time, in his consumer advocate heyday, where he was in a position to have really made a difference in the lives of the average consumer. He had the power and the voice to have established a consumer union that, collectively, could have given consumers a large power base. With that power base and through the use of consumer boycotts, consumer strikes, and political action, consumers could have helped shape our destiny. But Ralph let the power go to his head and didn't really accomplish much. That is why I lost my admiration for him. I lost my respect for him when he refused to bow out of the 2000 election. And now, sadly, I have even lost my patience with him. He could have been somebody, but he is just a sorry shell, looking to keep his name in headlines.

18. We have taken care of that!
I think our party has made it very hard on poor Ralph this go round. Been successful in keeping him off the ballots via technicalities and courtrooms!!

Now, whether that is a thing to cheer about, or worry about is the question.

By denying the Nadar voting public the right to cast the vote for Nader, do you think these people will
1) Vote for Kerry
2) Vote for Bush to spite the DNC for keeping Nader off the ballot?

28. I think most will just ignore him.
Ralph has some valid complaints, and I agree with most of them, but he's lost his credibility with the voters. If a lot of people really backed him, he wouldn't be having any trouble getting on the ballots of every state. He wouldn't need the Pubs to help him either.

As I said, I'm not worried about him in this election. He's burnt. Take him off the grill and throuw him out in the trash!!!

37. Nader on the Ballot Matters Because of DIEBOLD
A high Bush* vote in liberal areas would look suspicious,
(especially when rendered on newly-installed Diebold voting machinez}
but if a bunch of Kerry votes in those precincts got diverted to Nader
nobody would suspect any wrongdoing.

The story would be that Kerry got squeezed between Boosh and Nader.
It wouldn't matter that nobody really voted for Nader.

With Nader off the ballot, their attempts to steal the election
might not pass the Shevardnadze test.

than 4,000 Greens in that state smells a lot like the Jews for Buchanan in Palm Beach. Of course they need him to confuse things - just look how they use him in polls already - likely voters with Nader, unlikely decided but only half registered with nader only half on the ballot - and all them nice new categories they invent to make things look the way they want them to look.

9. What a bastard
I'm glad I threw my copy of "Crashing The Party" in the garbage dumpster this past spring (when he announced his candidacy). If I meet anyone who calls themselves a "Nader supporter" from now on- uh-uh, not true. You're a Bush supporter in my eyes, don't even try to disguise it. The Republicans want to say "A vote for Kerry is a vote for terrorists"? My motto is, "A vote for Nader is a vote for Bush".

21. Proof Nader is a freaking hypocrite
"They're going to lose it because John Kerry has surrounded himself with corporate consultants who represent some of the seediest and most craven companies and industries, and they are not letting him think for himself," said Nader, whose fight against corporate influence over government and politics is his own rationale for running.

Nader is taking money from those same corporate consultants. Funny how he doesn't mention that.

But not necessarily for exactly the reasons he is stating. Still, four more years of Bush et al. is a very real possibility. We simply haven't adequately addressed the corporate propaganda machine.

Sigh ... at least we can take solace in the fact that Ralph Nader's political career has been relegated to that of the LaRouches of the world.
