2. Great!
Those are way too close to concede.

But if we lose PA we've lost it, so concentrate on PA!

4. Have to disagree
I think hitting Bush in some of his weaker states is a good strategy. Concentrating on one of Kerry's stronger states (Penn.) while giving up on CO, MO, etc. lets Bush take the fight right into Kerry Country.

We have to keep Bush out of PA by hitting him in AR, NC, TN, VA, AZ, NV and other Red states so he will have to conceed PA and concentrate on just holding those Red states, which is a fallback position for him.

6. Good point, good point...
I just think that if we don't hold PA, we've lost. Period. I don't think we can win without Pennsylvania. It's like when California looks close. You kinda have to take CA as a given, cause if we lose CA, we lose period, end of line.

I agree, that keeping George Jr. on his toes in states like MO and CO is a good strategy, plus I definitely don't think that they are lost, especially if we can mobilize the vote.

Keep up the work!!!

I can't tell you how happy I am that Carville is taking on a bigger role.

7. True: Pennsylvania a must-win state
For the moment, I think we have to assume that we will Kerry it. Fight Bush in his political back yard and if the fight goes well, the buzz will filter back to PA, and if dubya tries to take us on there, it'll be another Gettysburg. (Maybe a touchy anaolgy?)

Concentrating on our must-win states at this stage is not dealing from strength, and we have the strong hand: the case for change is very compelling.

8. Colorado CAN go either way....
We've got ranchers slaughtering herds because of bad * water policy and fuel costs; farmers who are being foreclosed out to agribusiness and development; tech workers folding clothes as the Gap and a pissed off electorate.

The Gov is a liability (the problem when the public finds out about your mistress, her two kids, and your pending divorce when you're a good Catholic who ran on a family values platform is that they tend to stop trusting you), the state is nearly bankrupt because we can't raise taxes and they ratchet down when the economy is bad (this is why we're in the high 40s in school spending, road building and transit, and several other issues....)

We're in the margin of error, and we're working harder in the liberal counties to GOTV than the Rs are in the conservative counties.

5. Yeah, and Tennessee!
I'm making sure my grandmother gets her absentee ballot---if it comes down to a few votes there (and it just might), I want to make sure we've got all the help we can get.
