Clinton file snoopers rapped
Staffers at the hospital where Bill Clinton had life-saving heart surgery were disciplined for trying to snoop into his private medical files, the Daily News has learned.

Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center suspended 17 workers - including a doctor, several supervisors, a lab technician and a number of clerical employees - for trying to access the top-secret computer records, said Jennifer Cunningham, executive vice president of Local 1199 of the Service Employees International Union, which represents heath care workers.

"If it is true, they should be disciplined. It's highly regrettable and unprofessional," said Cunningham, who said about 12 of the workers belong to the union.

One janitor was even offered $1,000 for his hospital ID, said another hospital worker.

1. How much do you think the bush* election committee offered them?

edit: Because you know everything is Clinton's fault and maybe they can find some evidence of that in his private medical files.

4. More likely tabloid rags
Clinton isn't running, so it would be of little value to Bush.

9. Nurses hate high profile cases
whether it's some celebrity or a particularly gruesome attack or a high profile child injury, the tabs and newspapers all send people around trying to weasel information out of anyone from housekeeping to secretaries to hungry interns. The job is made much, much more difficult by having to monitor access to records constantly.

They were probalby just trying to get the inside scoop, along with a minute by minute account of his recovery, but still, nobody should have medical files under that sort of scrutiny by the press or anyone not connected with the case.

7. Yeah! Give 'em the firing squad!
Jeez!

What do you expect in a culture obsessed with celebrity? They were just trying to get a hold of something they could auction on e-bay, thereby further improving our economy!

Granted, they should have known better. But I think the punishment is appropriate.

Let me guess - they're all rupukes. That wasn't difficult.

Did I tell anyone how much I hate these people?!

At least this time they are finally getting punished for what they did or attempted to do.
