GOP mailing warns liberals will ban bibles
WASHINGTON (AP) — Campaign mail with a return address of the Republican National Committee warns West Virginia voters that the Bible will be prohibited and men will marry men if liberals win in November.

The literature shows a Bible with the word "BANNED" across it and a photo of a man, on his knees, placing a ring on the hand of another man with the word "ALLOWED." The mailing tells West Virginians to "vote Republican to protect our families" and defeat the "liberal agenda."

Republican National Committee Chairman Ed Gillespie said Friday that he wasn't aware of the mailing, but said it could be the work of the RNC. "It wouldn't surprise me if we were mailing voters on the issue of same-sex marriage," Gillespie said.

The flier says Republicans have passed laws "protecting life," support defining marriage as between a man and a woman and nominate conservative judges who will "interpret the law and not legislate from the bench." It does not mention the names of the presidential candidates.

5. As far as I know, there is only one country that bans Bibles...
...and that would be the President's friends in Saudi Arabia.

That is, if they are actually banned there -- I know you certainly can't open a church in Saudi Arabia, but I'm not sure about mere possession of a Bible.

8. What about the UN Black Helicopter Abortion Army? Did they forget?
You know, the elite United Nations Sterilization Strike Force which will abduct all the women in the world and forcibly tie their tubes at their secret medical base beneath the ocean off the coast of Greenland!

And then, when they finally get the UFO tran-nuclear generating station working - the power plant from the UFO that crashed in Siberia in 1908 - Democrats will bombard Christians with its deadly mind-control beams. This will make it possible for Hillary Clinton to force God-fearing Americans to listen to NPR and drink chai and engage in non-procreative sexual acts and wear Tevas and allow gay black and Puerto Rican men to do their hair and offer them pedicures.

And it only gets worse from there!!

10. Are they twisted or what?
(fully knowing that those who were 'not mentioned' in the flier had EVERYTHING to do with it)

I hope justice is served one day for the scum that thought this one up. I can see it now. They approach the Pearly Gates. St. Peter is standing there waiting for them. He asks their names. "George, KKKarl and Dick," they reply. St. Peter checks his list, looks up at them and says, "I'm sorry. You've been BANNED from Heaven."

12. Just when I think....................
that the GOP cannot possibly sink any lower they once again dig themselves to new lows. I simply cannot believe this. Gillespie nonchalantly brushes the issue off as if it's normal behavior.

These people must be stopped, there is no living with them in this country anymore. They are the dirtiest, slimiest, sanctimonious, pompous, arrogant, festering, diseased puss warts on the face of the earth.

I hate them, there is nothing more that I can say. I hate them.

The end justifies the means, so they will say anything to get elected whether it's the truth or not.

Their believers believe for the sake of believing so will swallow anything that is sent out.

13. They can borrow mine!
It is not liberals who ban Bibles. The fundies allow only the King James Version for the most part. That is banning a lot of new versions that are easier to read. They do it because that way they can twist the interpretation any way they want just by using obscure language. I cannot believe that there are enough ignorant people that believe this bull to elect a fly. Apparently our schools really are in bad shape!

17. I have a good friend who is a linguist
specializes in early English, Middle English, ancient Greek and Latin. He cracks up whenever he hears someone (mis)quote the bible because they, more often than not, have NO idea what it is that they are actually saying.

Some linguists also looking at the Koran right now--turns out that the 72 black-eyed virgins can also be translated as a plate of white grapes (white grapes are referred to as diamonds and pearls throughout the Koran apparently, so that would be a nice thing to get in heaven) and the directive for a woman to cover her head can also be translated as "keep your belt tied."

At any rate, fundies hate "intellectuals" because they can expose these sort of things.

19. Some fundies are starting to have problems with the King James
version these days, as more and more churches are starting to worry about his possible homosexuality and the negative effect that "taint" could have had on the translation.

22. Yes, we not allow Christians to
force schools to put bibles in the class room. We will not allow fundies to scare people with endless stories of doom and guilt. We will not allow fundies to tell woman what to do with their bodies.

We're aggressive progressives. Be very afraid.
