The world wants Kerry
http://pub.tv2.no/nettavisen/english/article276506.ece

According to a global survey conducted to establish the world’s preferred choice for president, John Kerry is favored by the majority of the countries.

<snip>

President Bush does not have support in countries that traditional been US’ allies, according to the survey.

Even in Great Britain, where Prime Minister Tony Blair has been one of Bush’s most important allies in the war against terror, only 16 percent prefer the current president while 47 percent are for Kerry. In Canada, it is 61-16 for Kerry.

1. Does this work for or against Kerry here in the fatherland?
Is America finally coming out of its independent mindset and ready to join the rest of the world be it the EU, UN or otherwise worldly governing body?

2. It isn't that "The world wants Kerry"
rather that we don't want Bush surely. I doubt if if 47% of the Great British public could even recognise Kerry.

5. Why? Change comes from within first.
Those that run away are abandoning all hope and hiding from reality. It's better to stay and fight than to be AWOL while America needs you.

9. I admire your spirit..but
I go back and forth in my heart as to whether or not I'm being naive when I think we still have a chance. This once great nation was founded (or stolen from the Native Americans) by people who decided they had had enough and packed up their families in search of a better life. Part of me holds onto the hope that the election will be fair and Bush won't prevail, and part of me thinks it would be a bit naive to think the fascists are going to take any chance of losing their grip on the government. Why would this election be any different than the last. Perhaps Democracy has ended in the US, I just don't know. For me the thought often creeps into my mind that perhaps Canada would be a better place to raise my son. I don't care so much about the remainder of my life, but I don't want to raise my young son to be drafted into war that goes against everything I have ever believed in. I served in Vietnam and to this day, I don't know why. I know I was young (18), I thought it was a noble cause and I made it back, grew up, and realize now that it was all wrong. I see the same thing happening to our young men and woman now. All that many of them know is what they have been led to think. Many haven't been taught how to think, they have been taught what to think. If they go and if they make it back, hopefully they will have learned how to think. I think the voters in this election can be divided into two camps. Those who know how to think and those who have only learned what to think. Ignorance is a weapon of mass destruction.

6. Seen Betavote?
http://www.betavote.com

Believe it--overwhelming world sentiment is against Chimpy McFlightsuit. We're on the side of 85%+ of the world's population that believes that Bush* is a madman who must be defeated.

It's 85% of the billions of people on the planet, plus half of the roughly 300 million Americans, vs. the 150 million Bushies--less than half of which will turn out to vote.

85% of the whole world wants to see this intellectually dull, chickenhawk war profiteer return to Kennebunkport. Let's not let them down, and do all of America (and the rest of the world) a big favor in the process.
