Kerry Accuses Bush Of Cronyism In Govt. Contracts

Please read entire article which also mentions Bush's planned Post Election Call Up...

Kerry accuses Bush of cronyism in govt contracts

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico - Democrat John Kerry charged President Bush's administration on Friday with rewarding politically connected companies with huge defense contracts and then "turning a blind eye to the massive overcharging and waste."

The presidential candidate proposed an overhaul of the way firms bid for lucrative government deals, saying the Bush administration favors old cronies like Halliburton, big political contributors and special interests in secret backroom deals that cost taxpayers billions of dollars. "It's an abuse of the American taxpayer. It's an abuse of trust,"......

Kerry singled out Halliburton, the multinational company Vice President Dick Cheney once headed, for landing huge no-bid government contracts to rebuild war-torn Iraq.

"It is clear that almost every aspect of this war, from how we went to how it was conducted, has been mismanaged, all the way to turning a blind eye to the massive overcharging and waste that their friends at Halliburton engage in," he said.

"That's their cronyism," Kerry said. "They chose to give it to the big folks at the expense of the average person in the country."

Call-up after elections

Kerry also accused Bush of hiding plans to call up more members of the part-time National Guard and Reserve after the November election to compensate for thinning ranks in the fulltime U.S. military due to the Iraq war..... Rep. John Murtha, a member of the House Subcommittee on Defense, backed Kerry's claim.

1. Here's What I Want...
For Kerry to start a mantra: Bush hasn't attended a single military funeral.

5. I still wonder why nobody is saying this
and why Bush doesn't just go to one token funeral.

Clinton went, and he had far fewer to choose from.

2. Left swing, upper cut to Bush's weak chin, GO KERRY GO! Dark man
bitch slapping Bush! LOL LOVE it! I can hear Cheney/Bush right now on the phone with Bush:

Cheney: We need to get him OFF the subject of Halliburton

Bush: My right wing base is so pissed at me right now, I won't bring up those wedge issues anymore, there was a lot of back-lash I didn't count on, I'm losing in the polls, votes, and the war. I can't keep ignoring all these questions DICK! Soon Americans will demand I answer to them.

Cheney: We have to pull out the biggest guns, it's time to wake up those terra cells we know about and let a few more Americans die so that we can get four more fears..I mean, years. Otherwise Junior, we're going to going to jail!

Bush: Dick, did you know that the taller person has always won an election? I think we need to cut off his legs, otherwise, I'm going to lose.

Cheney: But you won in 2000? Oh, wait, never mind.

Bush: Maybe I should just kick up my National Guard records again, Americans won't notice this Halliburton stuff. What do you think?

Cheney: I need to go relax and count my billions I've made in the last four years. I'll talk to you later about this mess.

3. Bechtel was another group that
bush favored for contracts in Iraq. 15 billion dollars for the Big Dig (under Bechtel) and the god damn tunnel leaks. Poor mixture of concrete. 90 feet under the harbor and the cement mixture had some flaws. Imagine that?

4. This is a non-starter of an issue
The circumstantial evidence of this type of stuff has been out for over a year, and massive in quantity. From enormous no-bid contracts to Halliburton, to KBR truckers driving their trucks all over Iraq (with no deliveries made) just to justify massive contract payments, to investigations of fraud. The public doesn't care. Why waste the time if nobody cares?

Call bush a liar, and use that word. That'll get some attention by an extremely jaded mainstream media and might crack that apathy in The People. The People know it's true and the freepers can't refute it. To waste photo/press-ops on a new (yet old) issue every day is a waste of publicity in my opinion.

6. Call him dishonest
because he and his his regime have done more than just lie. They cheat in business and steal social program funding from the people who need it.

It's ridiculous that Bush's miserable life isn't looked at (except in books and Michael Moore movies).
