PA Supreme Court puts nader back on ballot
Pennsylvania's highest court overturned a lower court ruling today that barred Ralph Nader from running for president in the state as an independent candidate.

The state Supreme Court ordered the Commonwealth Court to immediately commence a review of Nader's nominating petition.

The lower court had said Nader couldn't run as in independent because he had accepted the nomination of the national Reform Party as its candidate in some other states.

5. Pennsylvania is tied right now
A handful of votes could tilt the state toward Bush. If Bush wins PA, he's probably in, unless somehow he loses both Ohio and Florida. Nader in PA is a big deal.

16. I'm actually looking at scenarios where we lose Pa. and still win.
I think Kerry winning Ohio is about the only way to stop Bush if he wins Pa. Also, winning Florida could make up for it.

2. Am I misreading this? Order to commence a review does not
put Nader back on the ballot does it? Sounds to me that and order to commence a review means go back guys, and look at this again!

3. Proof positive
This is proof positive that Bush is actually way behind., Is Nader beginning to be an absolute necessary item for them.

6. How can you run as an Independent in one place and a Reform Party in
another place? If this is allowed, you will know for certain the election is going to be stolen for Bush.

10. Well, if those people in PA are stupid enough to vote for Bush...
then they better start practicing the following lines:

1. Would you like fries with that?
2. Welcome to Wal-Mart
3. Would you like to buy some magazine subscriptions?

11. Many of us people in PA....
are smart enough to vote for Kerry, and not for Bush. It's just a matter of convincing people that Bush is bad for PA's economy, for the country, and for the world.

Unfortunately, far too many people will vote their faith, and not what's best for the country.

15. And...
"Brother, can you spare a dime?"

BROTHER, CAN YOU SPARE A DIME?
(Gorney, Harburg)

They used to tell me
I was building a dream.
And so I followed the mob
When there was earth to plow
Or guns to bear
I was always there
Right on the job.
They used to tell me
I was building a dream
With peace and glory ahead.
Why should I be standing in line
Just waiting for bread?
Once I built a railroad
I made it run
Made it race against time.
Once I built a railroad
Now it's done
Brother, can you spare a dime?
Once I built a tower up to the sun
Brick and rivet and lime.
Once I built a tower,
Now it's done.
Brother, can you spare a dime?
Once in khaki suits
Gee we looked swell
Full of that yankee doodle dee dum.
Half a million boots went sloggin' through hell
And I was the kid with the drum!
Say don't you remember?
They called me Al.
It was Al all the time.
Why don't you remember?
I'm your pal.
Say buddy, can you spare a dime?

Once in khaki suits,
Ah, gee we looked swell
Full of that yankee doodle dee dum!
Half a million boots went sloggin' through hell
And I was the kid with the drum!
Oh, say don't you remember?
They called me Al.
It was Al all the time.
Say, don't you remember?
I'm your pal.
Buddy, can you spare a dime?

17. People between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh are already
saying the things you mention in your post. Bush can't win with just the middle of the state. If Kerry builds up a substantial lead in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh plus the connecting suburban counties, the chimp is on his way back to the zoo.

14. Well, this sucks, but it's not unconstitutional or illegal like in Florida
This so far at least sounds like a decision that, as much as I dislike it, is fair. How different from Florida where the courts rule one way but the Republican secretary of state goes and overturns everything by executive fiat for purely partisan reasons.
