Canadian suing Ottawa for time in Egyptian jail
<snip> It all began last May. Mohamed, works in Toronto and visits Egypt, where his children go to school. He shot the video of Toronto landmarks for his children, he said.

When he was leaving Canada shortly afterwards, CSIS officials came across the videos and confiscated them. He ended up being detained in Athens during a stopover and sent back to Toronto. <snip>

After that, he flew to Egypt to see his family and ended up being detained in a Cairo jail for two weeks. Egyptian officials wanted to know why he'd been the focus of so many questions from Canadian officials.

"They held me because they had information from Canada," Mohamed told CTV's Denelle Balfour. "They wanted to question me because I was a suspect in Canada." <snip>
