DoD Identifies Marine Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Lance Cpl. Gregory C. Howman, 28, of Charlotte, N.C., died Sept. 15 due to enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. Howman was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.

We seem to love that shit here in the good ole' US of A. Booker Buries With Full Military Honors
PITTSBURGH -- F uneral services will take place Wednesday for a local soldier killed in action during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Staff Sgt. Stevon Booker was killed by enemy fire in Baghdad April 5. He was a tank commander with the 3rd Infantry Division.
