Al-Fadhal is part of a group from Iraq touring the United States to tell Americans about the democratic "transformation," albeit slow, in their country. Their opportunity to give voice to the Iraqi experience comes at the invitation of the Iraq-American Freedom Alliance, a project of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies.
Al-Fadhal, a real Iraqi woman speaking to the situation in her homeland, says most Iraqis are overwhelmingly grateful to the United States for freeing their country from tyranny.

One of the United States' biggest mistakes, they said, was not securing the borders to keep radical extremists out. To hear them tell it, America's presence is not a mistake.

"A lot of (Iraqi) mothers come to me and say to tell the mothers in America thank you for sending us your sons and daughters, the soldiers, to help us," she said. "We pray for them, the soldiers."

A word of advice. Posters here have not drunk the koolaid. It is quite obvious that the overwhelming majority of Iraqis want us gone. Otherwise, the insurgents would not be prevailing. We have tortured them in prisons, bombed them, broken down their doors at all hours, shot civilians without cause, destroyed their infrastructure, caused 70% unemployment, are importing people from all over the world to "rebuild" Iraq when they could be doing it themselves and earning a living, stealing their oil, appointing a former CIA stooge as their new "leader" and otherwise running amok with their country.

NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND believes that the Iraqis want us there. The fact that the administration is parading this woman around to speak to groups to attempt to convince Americans that Iraqis want us there is absurd, sick, distorted, stupid and is not believable.
