The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom

Lance Cpl. Drew M. Uhles, 20, of DuQuoin, Ill., died Sept. 15 from injuries received due to enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, Calif.

A friend of mine (Vietnam Veteran) "covertly" obtained a round sticker that has "W" 04 and placed it on his back windshield putting an "A" in front and "OL" behind it (A"W"OL). He's been TRYING to paste American flags representing the loss of American soldiers' lives around his A"W"OL insignia.

When I see him tomorrow, we will both mourn and channel our anger at this outrage.

When Americans put their lives on the line, when Americans spend billions for a war -- American deserve a truthful explaination and not misleading spin or double-talk.

Why are we in Iraq? Why are Americans dying in Iraq? Why are Americans being wounded and maimed in Iraq? Why are we spending billions in Iraq? As long as George W. Bush is in charge - we may never know the truth, but we do know that eventually someone will have to clean up another bush-mess."
