Grieving Mom Heckles Laura Bush

HAMILTON, N.J., Sept. 17, 200

(CBS/AP) A woman wearing a T-shirt with the words "President Bush You Killed My Son" and a picture of a soldier killed in Iraq was detained Thursday after she interrupted a campaign speech by first lady Laura Bush.

Police escorted Sue Niederer of Hopewell, N.J., from a rally at a firehouse after she demanded to know why her son, Army 1st Lt. Seth Dvorin, 24, was killed in Iraq. Dvorin died in February while trying to disarm a bomb.

...snip...

When Bush mentioned the troops abroad, Niederer shouted, "When are yours going to serve?" referring to Bush's 22-year-old twin daughters, who aren't in the armed services. Local police escorted her out of the event, handcuffed her and placed her in the back of a police van.

Outside the hall, she said she had a ticket and asked why she was being arrested. She was told by police she had entered a private event and had refused to leave, the Trenton Times reported.
...snip remainder......

1. Ah yes, those compassionate * family members,
born or made, certainly makes you proud to be an American. What, they didn't kick in the head a few times?

The free speech zone musta been in Toronto.

I'd say how I really feel, but I'm a bashful sorta guy....

2. Pickles is living off our dime...
so that damn well better not have been a 'private' event during campaign season.

I can understand a disruptive heckler being removed, but handcuffed and taken out by police? Especially the mother of one of those soldiers her husband loves to use as fodd...photo opportunities.

Tsk, tsk. I'm disappointed in Pickles. Where's her compassion? The best thing she could have done is to at least try to address this poor woman. What a useless POS we have for a first 'lady'. What a shallow, soulless, ungracious woman our Laura is.

I just can't see Teresa Heinz-Kerry letting something like that happen to a woman obviously sick and bitter with grief. That's why I love her.
