Democratic Party ad features Bush on carrier with 'Mission Accomplished' banner

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Democratic Party questions President Bush's credibility on Iraq and the economy in a new campaign ad showing the Republican declaring an end to major combat while standing on an aircraft carrier adorned with a "Mission Accomplished" banner.
"How can you solve problems when you won't even admit they're there?" asks the ad, which will start running Friday in battleground states and on national cable networks.

2. Good for them!
It's fair game since he's the "war president" and his war record should be hammered.

Thousands have died because bush lied.

I've always thought that would make a good campaign point!

Not true. In this MTV length attention span (1 second per scene) of a culture you might as well put all of your ads out on November 1st.

Definitely tres cool!

Bush is in fantasy land of lies and spin theme. That's a good mantra for him I think. Fantasy, wishful thinking, spin, delusion, lying, deception.

16. Can we say "projection"?
"John Kerry's campaign is continuing with its strategy of trying to tear down the president's record because it can't run on John Kerry's 20 year-record in the Senate or John Kerry's vision for the future because it's out of the mainstream," said Steve Schmidt, a Bush campaign spokesman.

Also, I think Kerry should counter about the negative campaign by pointing out how nice the Democratic campaign was, even at the convention, but that the Republican convention was just the final straw. He tried to get them on the high road, but at some point you've gotta defend yourself.

Kerry's the reluctant warrior once again, and the Republicans are the mudslingers that they are.
