Bush, Kerry trade shots on Iraq as "tell-all" book alleges Bush cocaine use

<snip>Kerry also took a swipe at Bush over his economic performance, dismissing the president's attempt to blame job losses and a sluggish economic recovery on the September 11 attacks and the war.

"What President Bush (news - web sites) cannot explain is how the last 11 presidents before him -- Democrats and Republicans -- faced wars, recessions and international crises, and yet only he has presided over lost jobs, declining real exports, and the swing from a 5.6 trillion dollar surplus to trillions of dollars of deficits," Kerry wrote in an article that will appear in The Wall Street Journal Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the Democrats came back with a new offensive and video aimed at highlighting "unanswered questions" regarding Bush's stint with the Texas Air National Guard three decades ago.

The effort, dubbed "Operation: Fortunate Son," sought to shift the focus onto what the Democrats call Bush's use of family connections to get a cushy National Guard position and avoid duty in Vietnam.

1. Iraq and Bush Fraud Ads for Download
I've been writing and designing ads with a decidedly strident tone in an attempt to keep alive the Iraq story and the Bush military evasion stories. I've included a few samples here, but you can download the full-resolution versions from my site at http://www.bigpath.net

I hope people will find these useful. It may be my bias as a graphic designer, but I'm hoping that bold visuals and (hopefully) persuasive text can at least get people’s attention and keep discussions alive both inside and outside these forums. All the ad materials are available in PDF and JPEG formats. If you find any of these useful I strongly encourage you to forward, print, post, hand out and otherwise distribute them in any way you see fit.

I welcome your comments, suggestions, criticisms.

9. The Nat'l guard thing is boring. They should talk about the drugs.
Well, I guess Kitty is doing THAT job. :)

3. Cheney doesn't tell half-truths. How about conflict of interest mentioned
with him and war profiteer? Other than that, I think it's a nicely laid out ad. I can't read the small print, it's too small, but it looks good. Maybe adding a picture of Bush shaking hands with the Saudi's and then making a note that 11 of the terrorist were Saudi's might make an impact? Great stuff though, very well done! You should be proud of your work.

5. Have you proofed these yet?
I only had a chance to read "FRAUD," but I noticed two small typos (not getting into grammar thing):
1st line - you're missing the word "of" in "strutting across the deck ___ the USS..."
4th point - I think you meant to say, "we know 'for' a fact," rather than "of a fact."

Might want to give them another look-see.

Graphics and content are great.

6. The article linked does not have the same title as in your
subject line -- confusing. The title of the piece that is linked is titled: Kerry zooms in on Bush economic record.

Great way to put it--You aren't the only president who ever faced a crisis in this country, bud--but you're the only one who's blown it so badly.
