Bush Cuts Into Big Kerry Lead In New York (Quinnipiac Poll)
Excerpts:

President George W. Bush is getting a post-convention bounce in New York State and now trails Democratic challenger John Kerry by 47 - 41 percent among registered voters, with 4 percent for independent candidate Ralph Nader, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today. With Nader out of the race, Sen. Kerry is ahead 49 - 42 percent.

This is down from a 53 - 35 percent Kerry lead, with 4 percent for Nader, in an August 13 poll by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University.

Among likely voters, including undecided voters leaning toward a candidate, Kerry is ahead 50 - 45 percent, with 3 percent for Nader.

1. Sure... must be from Senator Lazio's office...
Remember back in 2000 when there was all this "worry" that Hillary would lose the senate race?

5. They're setting us up to steal the election.
Using the Diebold BBV system to steal an election won't be believable if the pre-election poll numbers aren't close to begin with. That's why I don't trust any of these polls. Six percent of the electorate didn't just change their minds overnight. It has to be a scam.

12. I agree 100%
This post-GOPCON bounce talk is nonsense. Can anyone point to a single thing that was said during that convention that would convince 6% of Kerry supporters to defect to bush*? It's utter bullshit, but it's necessary to get the national mind set wired NOW, make everyone believe the whole shootin' match is TOO CLOSE TO CALL, so that when the Diebold machines are fired up and minorities are disenfranchised, the bogus results will look believable to the gullible American sheeple.

But how about that new season of Survivor?!?!?

13. Exactly
The polls are a set-up for eletion theft.
They learned from the Hagel senate race to rig the numbers early.
Hagels votes were counted, in secret, on machines built by his company. He was CEO of the vote machine company.
Hagel and opponent were tied in the polls one week before the election.
After Hagels company counted the votes, he magically gained 14 points.
The ruling class rarely makes the same mistake twice.

7. Thank you. If this doesn't prove once and for all that the polls are bogus
then I'm guessing you bought the pretzel story too.

11. This isn't bad news at all
Maybe Bush will be deluded into thinking he has a chance in NY. Maybe he will spend time and $$$ there as well.

Too, let's not forget that with the national polls tightening it can no longer be argued that Kerry gets his strength from NY and California. This poll shows us that if Kerry is losing ground in NY, perhaps he is picking up strength in other places. Possibly picking up strength in battleground states??

Call me crazy but this doesn't seem like bad news at all. In a way I hope these numbers are true.
