9. Anyone see "The Day After Tomorow" ?
That global warming climate change movie from this summer?

The real radar and satellite images these days have looked rather eerily similar to the stuff in that movie.

10. I think she is wearing Carolina Blue
Looks like a North Carolina girl to me. As disappointing as it may be. That means we won't get to see the "BushBoys" handing out water on the 11pm news this time. Gosh Gee Shucks.

11. Also expected to be a major hurricane
There's also a significant chance that Florida is its target.

12. Ah, so she has a name now
Little Sister to Ivan.

Hurricane season doesn't officially end until Nov. 30 (tho November isn't usually very active at all). Wonder how many more of these can brew up during the remaining weeks?

13. Since we're in the "J"s, why not name it JEB!!
I can see the headline: "Hurricane Jeb trashes Florida even worse than its namesake!"

15. i wonder if fearless leader, being such a fan of the old testament
sees this as the wrath of god. payback, perhaps, for making such a travesty of the 2000 election.

somehow i doubt the usual suspects of falwell and robertson will try to make such a claim.

20. I've been thinkin' the same thing lately.
I've actually read a few comments which are wondering: what is going on? Is this an act of God? The posters recall the scummy things that happened in Florida during the election and how many were involved in the criminal cover-up by completely disenfranchising several thousand black votes.

Wouldn't it be interesting to see what they have to say if maybe 6 or 7 more hurricanes end up in Florida? What then?

16. I predict....
Jeanne will head north east, and not threaten the coast at all :)

A week ago, I was about the only one who said Ivan would sneak between Cuba and the Yucatan, and head north to Louisiana.. (takes bow)..(sorry NOLA ..)

21. Why does God hate Florida?
Is it because of Jeb?
Is it because of Katherine Harris?
Is it because of Junior?

And if there was, why would he hate Florida and not Jeb, Katherine or Junior?

25. If global warming is just a theory, are hurricanes just a theory too?
Everybody's talking about how global warming is fueling these kind of catastrophic storms, yet nobody seems to blame the no-nothing environmental policy of Bu**sh**.

26. ah sheeet
Just when I started to relax because my in-laws in Tampa won't be harmed by Ivan. Now I get to watch Jeanne for the rest of the week to see if she wants to come play on the SC beaches. I don't even have my roof fixed because getting a damn contractor in this area to show up and then give you a "normal" price is hard to come by.
A funny, one guy came by yesterday and told us that he needed half up front. Yeah I give thousand dollars checks to people I never seen before and probably won't again if I give him a check. NO sale.
My house didn't get damaged by a Hurricane but by a tropical storm which wasn't suppose to be BAD.

Poor people in Ivan's path have it much worst then I do. I hope everyone stays safe and if you run for the hills, please take the furry kids.
