Gunmen kill 12 Iraqi police north of Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Sept 14 (Reuters) - Gunmen opened fire on a minibus carrying policemen in the Iraqi town of Baquba northeast of Baghdad on Tuesday, killing 12 and wounding two, according to a source at Baquba's main hospital.

Earlier, Baquba police chief Waleed al-Azawi told Reuters eight policemen had been killed in the attack in the town, which lies 65 km (40 miles) north of the capital.
