Priests charged with child abuse being sheltered in Rome

FOREIGN STAFF

SOME Roman Catholic religious orders have been sheltering priests in Rome despite claims that the men sexually abused children, it was reported yesterday.

Of the seven accused priests located by the Dallas Morning News, one has been indicted in Arizona, but refuses to return to face the charges. Two others had admitted to abuse years ago, but now face additional claims.

4. I can't hear you!
I have it on good authority that this "priest" does not actually exist but is a forgery of someone's imagination.

5. The Catholic Church is dying.

Come to think of it, all of organized religion has begun its desperate struggle for relevancy.

The species is most assuredly evolving beyond the back-water superstition that "God" is something much greater, and more powerful, than our own spirit... A paternalistic prop to be groveled to for mercy, forgivness, hope etc.

It's about time religion gave way to truth.

10. We can't give women control over their own bodies...
But we can give absolute control of the bodies of 10-old boys to pedophile priests without accountability...

...Sigh...how I miss the Enlightenment...

11. "Churches are the sepulchers of the lord." Nietzsche
Excellent post. The church started settling law suits all over America when a document emerged indicating a plan from the Vatican to keep 'pervert priest' behavior on the 'down-low.' That document would more than justify this notion. It's a shame since the Catholic church has a 'Christ-driven' social agenda.
