Democrats resolute about military records
Edited on Wed Sep-22-04 11:18 PM by dArKeR
Democrats vowed Tuesday to keep alive questions about President George W. Bush's Vietnam-era National Guard service despite the admission by CBS that it could not authenticate documents at the center of a report on his service. But the party instead spent much of the day explaining contacts between Senator John Kerry's campaign and the former National Guard officer who gave the network the documents.

The political jockeying over CBS' admission marked a sharp change from a week ago, when the White House was trying to answer questions about the documents and Democrats were accusing Bush of avoiding his service requirements.

On Tuesday, Republicans went on the offensive and used reports that the former officer, Bill Burkett, had talked by telephone with Joe Lockhart, a senior strategist to Kerry, shortly before the CBS report, to question whether there had been collusion between the news organization and the campaign.

1. It comes down to this, DID BUSH disobey a lawful
legal order?

Did Bush report to his unit in Alabama?

Did bush receive preferential treatment?

Now that the CBS flap has occured all thsoe quesetions will NEVER be answered.

Oh and as a wife of a Navy Vet, this man is a deserter, but you will not be able to convince righties of this... EVER

3. I guess me question is...so the fuck what if they did?
Let's "move forward" and get to the question at hand. Where was Bush when 1500+ other National Guardsmen were getting their asses blown off in Vietnam?

That scum-fucking Allawi is holding butch's hand with his own poop-wiping hand. This is just about the worst insult there is and it would be perfectly acceptable for boosh to kill him for it! Instead, that stupid dog shit eater is smiling, well smirking, but that's as close as he can come.

To the uninitiated- These people have lived in the desert for thousands of years and there is no toilet paper. They would scrape shit off their assholes with the left hand, then cleanse that hand, as well as possible, with sand. Out of this unfortunate necessity grew a custom. You eat with your right, wipe your ass with your left, and you never, ever, ever touch food or another person, or ANYTHING of value with your left- it's a horrible insult- worth going back and killing even your dead forebears for hundreds of years back.

One reason the fate of getting your right hand cut off for stealing was such a bad punishment was that you could never, ever share a meal with anyone else-ever! You became an instant social outcast, dirty, vile -you eat shit!!

Right now we can go and kill Allawi by inches, in public, and everybody would understand and approve! Damn--what an ignorant fool bush is... (shaking head, sadly)

on edit: Doesn't that ingorant fuck even know WHY it is that those people greet each other with a brotherly kiss? They do not have a custom of shaking, or holding hands. Stupid stupid stupid stupid...

12. I like your theory
but then how the hell do people in Arab Society walk around holding hands with each, which they do?

Makes it difficult to walk, if everyone is trying to hold each others right hand?

13. The closest thing I ever saw to hand holding
was leading someone by holding them on the left wrist. I haven't been around these people a huge amount, but I have read and talked to people, and what I have learned is that they don't hold hands. There is a whole bunch of funky ways of doing things to avoid touching the left, or with the left.

Ever notice in pictures like this (there have been several, I think) the savvy middle easterner is doing the shit-hook on Bush. Have you seen any with the positions reversed?

18. May I ask a less than expert question, please?
If you borrow a picture like that, and are not downloading it to your own private files, aren't you actually just posting the url address and then that sucks it up from wherever it actually lives any time someone displays the posting with the address ? If this is the case, then isn't that kinda like stealing some unknown third party's computer time? Please pardon the lack of sophistication inherent in my question; the depth of my ignorance is truly appalling, but I'm trying to cure that as fast as possible.

20. Yes, you are just referencing the image
from wherever it was posted originally.

In this case, it was posted on Yahoo's Picture Gallery and since this is common practice, they don't seem to mind. There are ways to make it more difficult to copy location of the image, but they don't bother to do that. On the other hand, they don't keep the images up for very long, so in a couple of weeks, you will get a broken link symbol, when you pull up this thread instead.

9. The Dems should tell the Bush Campaign
to shove their questions where the sun don't shine.

The only questions that matter are the ones about whether or not W went AWOL.
