Kerry Says Bush Avoiding Reality on Iraq

COLUMBUS, Ohio - President Bush (news - web sites)'s statement that a "handful" of people are willing to kill to stop progress in Iraq (news - web sites) is another blunder that shows he's avoiding reality, Democrat John Kerry (news - web sites) told The Associated Press.

"George Bush (news - web sites) let Osama bin Laden (news - web sites) escape at Tora Bora," Kerry said in a brief interview Wednesday. "George Bush retreated from Fallujah and other communities in Iraq which are now overrun with terrorists and threaten our troops. And George Bush said on the record we can't win the war on terror.


"And even today, he blundered again saying there are only a handful of terrorists in Iraq," Kerry said. "I think he's living in a make believe world."


Bush, campaigning in Pennsylvania on Wednesday, said: "It's hard to help a country go from tyranny to elections to peace when there are a handful of people who are willing to kill in order to stop the process. And that's what you're seeing on the TV screens. You know, these people cannot beat us militarily."

5. We're Up Against Some Real Mullah Flockers

who are willing to die to let successors "enjoy" the fundie Islamic state they will try to create where women can walk the streets in their Yoko-bag burkas with their obligatory male escort in between getting beatings from their religiously-superior husband. They are people who want to be the gun-toting messengers of allah, a fictitious character who apparently commands men to have beards and commands that hair be short in front so you can touch forehead to the ground for your mandatory mulitple daily prayer sessions. They want to put serious constraints on your fun and self-expression-- no music, no alcohol-- no high except the high you get from your publicly verified relationship with allah. They want to enforce a lifestyle with violence and weaponry, and we either need to have the collective stomach to kick the reporters out and clean house like only we can, or pull out and let the mullahs run the place. Seems to me if we pull out and try to support one side in the inevitable civil war that will follow, we'll get bankrupted just like USSR was in Afghanistan. If we try to wear down the "resistance" and not pull out, same result. Quagmire. Bush Sr. was right to leave Saddam in charge back in Desert Storm days-- he was a manageable threat. These new funde guys? About as manageable as a herd of possessed cats.

6. Bush isn't the only one avoiding reality

Go to any web forum and or talk radio and all you see or hear is reich wingers writing or saying that the war has been won.

All too often, those who want Peace remain silent as all this bushshit is written or spoken.

Democrats are too weak minded to speak on radio or to post on web forums and this allows the reichsters to manufacture a consensus in support of Bush.

While it is great to see Kerry speaking out with the truth about conditions in Iraq, it is troubling to see him talking alone as Democrats refuse to back up his statements on talk radio or on internet web forums.

You have over fifty thousand people registered on this forum. It would be great to see them active in those media so that Kerry would not have to fight alone.

Once this goofball is voted out, let's hope he becomes Commissioner of Baseball or some other profession where his catastrophic decisions and lies don't cause people to lose their lives or sons or daughters or wives or husbands or aunts or uncles or...you get the picture.
