Dayton Plans To Boycott Iraqi Speech

Sep 23, 2004 8:06 am US/Central
WASHINGTON (AP) Senator Mark Dayton plans to boycott the Iraqi interim prime minister's appearance before Congress today.

Dayton says he considers the speech "more window dressing" from the Bush administration.

The Minnesota Democrat says he believes interim prime minister Ayad Allawi should be in Iraq running the country -- instead of coming here for what Dayton calls "a staged production."

Minnesota's other senator, Republican Norm Coleman, says he plans to attend the speech and says he's disappointed by Dayton's decision.

I just decided. What a great idea to boycott Allawi.

If they are concerned about their election image, those who are up for re-election...then to the "Blue Flu" thing....go to your physician and get cover......
