MARINE KILLED IN AL ANBAR PROVINCE

One Marine assigned to I Marine Expeditionary Force was killed in action Sept. 22, while conducting security and stability operations in the Al Anbar Province.

The release of more details about the incident could place our personnel at greater risk. Therefore, due to force protection consideration, additional details concerning the incident will not be released.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

6. Local radio this a.m. stated a Mt. Jolliet(sp), TN, marine was killed in

Al Anbar. A kid was buried in Cleveland yesterday. So sad.
