Australian Prime Minister shunned Iraq warning
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Big News Network.com Saturday 25th September, 2004

Three days before Australian Prime Minister John Howard committed his country to the Iraq war he was warned by Australia's leading expert on weapons of mass destruction, his case for war was based on falsehoods, and would make Australia a bigger terrorist target.

In a front page lead story Saturday, the Sydney Morning Herald outlines how Dr. Bob Matthews, a principal research scientist of weapons of mass destruction and arms control at the Defence Science and Technology organisation, wrote to Howard three days before the prime minister joined U.S. President George W. Bush and Britain's Tony Blair in instigating a military invasion of Iraq.

6. Australian PM ignored weapons expert: report
FALSEHOODS: It is becoming increasingly likely that John Howard knew there was no substantial evidence that Saddam possessed weapons of mass destruction

Australian Prime Minister John Howard faced renewed attacks yesterday over his support for the US-led war in Iraq as new evidence emerged that a top weapons expert had warned him that there was nothing to justify invasion.

The Sydney Morning Herald said Bob Mathews, described as Australia's leading expert on weapons of mass destruction, told Howard three days before his announcement that Australia was committing troops to the invasion that the case for war was based on falsehoods.

The mother whose son was murdered by Bush said she hated Bush and wanted to shoot him in the groin which is being looked into as a criminal act. I ask if a leader lies or hides the truth which results in the murder of soldiers and civilians is that not worse and should be charged with "Accessory to Murder"?
