G.I. sentenced for murder of Iraqi soldier

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- A U.S. soldier was sentenced to a 25-year term Saturday after a court martial convicted him in the death of an Iraqi National Guard member in May, the military said.

Spc. Federico Merida pleaded guilty to murder during the trial in Tikrit, a city north of Baghdad.

The attack occurred in Adwar, but the military released no details about the incident.

Merida, whose age and hometown were not given, also received a dishonorable discharge and reduction in rank.

1. usa teaches them to kill then tries them for murder

when the usa continually tells them - they are the enemy - I am sure it becomes difficult to turn it off - look at the ones who come back here and murder -

they teach killing is ok if you call the other guy the enemy or enemy combatant or whatever the going name is

then they are to be in civilized society and not kill - just mind boggling to me that we teach young people to turn off their emotions and kill other human beings - at all and do it in the name of christianity
