Parents Sue After Children Forced To Strip At School

NEW YORK -- The mothers of four boys are suing New York City schools because their sons were stripped searched by an aide who was looking for a missing ring.

The fourth grade boys were in a gym class at PS 186-X in the Bronx last April 2 when they were taken to another room by a male aide or ordered them to take off their clothes. The aide was looking for a ring that was missing from a female teacher.

The federal lawsuit filed by the mothers said the boys were told they would arrested if they didn't strip. The lawsuit names the aide -- Julio Pizzaro and the city Education Department.

School officials say the aide has been reassigned.

most contracts prohibit teachers being fired due to misdemeanors. but, since she wasnt an actual teacher, i dunno :shrug:
