2. Didn't he have a bit of trouble last year
and then they all said it was nothing? Yeah, sure.

I guess that's what stress and a guilty conscience will do to you.

Or maybe Tony is just trying to keep up with the Clinton's? Only kidding.

Get better quick Tony, so we can finish kicking your ass out of office.

He clearly hasn't got either. Maybe he can get a two-for-one special.

...or will the media use that one? Blame Clinton just in case.

Like most of you my cynicism took over....the axe or the scalpel? Isn't the timing just perfect?

15. Tucked inside the story: Blair won't seek a 4th term
he said he wants to serve a 'full third term', but not seek election for a 4th. Assuming he does get back in in the next election, that would seem to mean he'd step down some time after 3 years - the Labour party would need to elect a new leader, taking a few months, and then presumably he (I can't see any Labour woman taking over) would want to take several months to be seen to be properly in the job.

19. It's a common problem and is easily resolved ...
Atrial flutter is a condition in which the 2 upper chambers of the heart don't beat in a uniform manner ... they flutter randomly ... and don't fill the lower chambers as effectively as they should. It is usually caused by disruptions in the nerve pathways in the heart that control heartbeats.

It is resolved by cardioversion, in which a low power pulse from a defibrillator is delivered to the chest. This brief pulse disrupts the flutter-causing nerves, allowing them to "reset" to a normal pattern of conduction.

The patient is usually mildly sedated because any defibrillation can be painful. Sometimes cardioversions must be repeated in time but one treatment is also often enough to solve the problem for good.

This is routine stuff and Blair should be just fine afterward.

23. i don't care what anyone says. politics are so destructive nowadays that
no human is strong enough to survive being a western leader without developing stress disorders, either mental or physical. if i was president, i'd fall apart within a week, and need 24 hour supervision. i know my limits. 8^)

Either today or yesterday AAR played an audio clip of Ken Bigley begging for help from Blair. It was gut wrenching.

34. My heart would be fluttering too if I was a war criminal and was
riding the losing horse in the presendential race. When Kerry is elected, I hope Bush, Blair and co. are tried in Hague for crimes against humanity.
