Michael V. Kostiw, chosen by CIA Director Porter J. Goss to be the agency's new executive director, resigned under pressure from the CIA more than 20 years ago, according to past and current agency officials.

While Kostiw, a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, longtime lobbyist for ChevronTexaco Corp. and more recently staff director of the terrorism subcommittee of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, has been through the CIA security vetting procedure, final clearance to take the job has not been completed pending review of the allegations. The job is the third-ranking post at the CIA.

Did former CIA operative Porter Goss get on the job training as part of a covert Agency hit squad in 1963?

Photo evidence shows that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Porter Goss (R-FL), the new CIA director designate, may have been part of a CIA killer squad in Mexico called "Operation Forty."

The photo, published in Daniel Hopsicker's 'Barry and the Boys' shows Goss in a 1963 photo taken in a Mexico City nightclub with other members of a covert CIA assassination team.

Daniel Hopsicker claims that President George W Bush's nominee to head the CIA, Porter Goss, appears to be in the photograph. Hopsicker writes:

Goss appears second on the left. He is seated between notorious CIA pilot and drug smuggler Barry Seal (third left) and the equally-notorious CIA assassin Felix Rodriguez (front left), a Cuban vice cop under the corrupt Mob-run Batista regime who later became an Iran Contra operative and a confidant of the first George Bush.

The only one of the spook celebrants displaying any hint of tradecraft (seated on the other side of the table covering his face with his sport coat) is Frank Sturgis, most famous as one of the Watergate burglars.

Beside him sits (front right) William Seymour, New Orleans representative of the Double-Chek Corporation, a CIA front used to recruit pilots (like Seal), and a man who many Kennedy assassination researchers believe impersonated Lee Harvey Oswald on several occasions when the lone nut gunman was out of the country and so unable to impersonate himself.

As we saw it, the photo was in a yellowed frame, the kind used by nightclub photographers to create instant keepsakes. Seal’s widow Debbie Seal kept it in her safe, where it was overlooked by a 7-man team from the State Department which arrived at her house in 1995 to comb through her records.

It bears the name of a nightclub in Mexico City, and is stamped January 22, 1963, which, if you’re counting, was exactly ten months to the day before the Kennedy assassination.

Barry Seal was then a young-looking 24-year old. Porter Goss was the same age."

It is now known that Porter Goss was based at the JM/WAVE, the CIA station in Miami where he worked with people such as Ted Shackley, David Sanchez Morales, Edward Lansdale, William Harvey and Tracy Barnes.

I've NEVER been able to know what any of these people looked like before today. This is so helpful.

I've been looking through the names appearing connected to Porter Goss, who has been connected to South Florida for so long, and the Cuban "exile" extremists there, just like _{George H. W. Bush's} ties, and _{Jeb Bush's} business connections.

Also today's the first time I've seen a photo of the Havana Mafia gambling boss who moved to Orlando, Santos Trafficante, who continued his vicious work after the Cuban Revolution from Florida, instead.

Michael Kostiw, picked by new CIA Director Porter Goss to be the agency's executive director, has not received final clearance to take the job, although he had been scheduled to be sworn in Monday, the newspaper reported, citing a friend of Kostiw whom it did not identify.

Citing past and current agency officials, the Post said Kostiw was caught shoplifting in late 1981 at CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia. He had been an officer for 10 years at that point.
