Bush Says He Believes He'll Win Re-Election
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 05:35 AM by NVwriter
Nov 3, 3:20 AM EST
WASHINGTON (AP) -- All smiles and no swagger, President Bush surrounded himself with relatives and friends in the familiar comforts of the White House as he waited to see if his fate would duplicate his father's. He predicted otherwise, but exasperation was the order of the day early Wednesday as John Kerry refused to concede.

"I believe I will win, thank you very much," he said late Tuesday night, before Kerry made his stand in Ohio.

But frustration grew in Bush's camp as Kerry refused to concede Ohio, or the race.

Bush campaign strategist Matthew Dowd dismissed a pledge by Kerry's running mate, Sen. John Edwards, to wait for Ohio and Iowa as "ridiculous." Communications director Nicolle Devenish called Kerry's stance "desperate."

1. Correction "Election." He wasn't "elected" the first time.
And around here, in Iowa, we don't call that walk of his a swagger. We say he walks like he's got a cob up his ass!

2. Kerry's got shrub on the ropes! Kerry will prevail by Nov 11 or 12
I feel it!

As for dumbya...he believed there were WSMs in Iraq, he believed he served in the national guard, and now he believes he will win, so who's the one who's delusional!

3. Andy Card just annouced Bush Victory
saying the uncounted votes in Ohio or other states will not make a differnce. "They" have given Bush 286 EV's.

All news channels that I could check are questioning how "they" can do this?????

No news channels have changed their EV's in the last couple of hours that I can see.

Card said Bush would give Senator Kerry time to bow out gracefully and Bush will make a speech later today.

7. If you're speaking to me...
I'm just the messenger. A Kerry supporter, also asking how they can do this before all votes are counted.

The Whitehouse is declaring Bush has 286 EV's and he does not.

Again, a Kerry supporter asking "How can they do this".

Most of the media is saying they don't understand why Card has done this when all votes have not been counted.
