Bush: Fallujah offensive to assure Iraq January vote
WASHINGTON (AFP) - Less than a week after his own re-election, George W. Bush launched an offensive on rebels held up in Fallujah to assure that Iraq elections set for January will be held.

The US president OK'ed the huge mobilization on Friday at a National Security Council meeting.

On Monday he met with Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld at the White House before US and Iraqi troops launched the attack.

"Success in Fallujah will deal a blow to the terrorists in the country and should move Iraq further away from a future of violence to one of freedom and opportunity for the Iraqi people," Rumsfeld said during a press conference later Monday.

"I think it's a tough business, and it's going to take time."

7. Hey, Bubble Boy, try reading history sometime.
If you knew the first thing about Iraqi history, especially when it comes to "occupation," a person with an average IQ would have thought twice before invading. Oh, and a person with an average IQ would know that you might be able to conquer various outposts, but you can never hold 'em for long.

History, Bubble Boy, history. We're repeating it. The hilarious thing, of course, is that the foolish Brits are repeating it right along with us. The Limeys sure are slow. I suppose that's why you get along with them so well.

14. is bush changing his "reasons" for his assault in Fallujah with the same
ease and frequency with which he changed the reasons for invading Iraq?

Isn't Bush just really invading Fallujah for the pleasure that his own carnage brings to him? the man is a sicko!

16. WMD...MUSHROOM CLOUDS...MUST DISARM...CAN STAY IF HE DISARMS...
All total bullshit. Just like this "spreading democracy" is BULLSHIT.

This "liberation" is BULLSHIT.

A study published by the Lancet found that the risk of death by violence for Iraqi civilians is now 58 times higher than before Bush began to "liberate" them in April 2003.
