Darfur attacks fuel genocide fear
In one town the BBC team visited, at least 80 children had been killed as well as many adults.

Janjaweed militias and government troops attacked Kidinyir throughout the past year, killing huge numbers.

It is now estimated that more than 70,000 people have died in Darfur and massacres are still going on.
...
Sudan's government insists that the killings are the result of tribal chaos in the region. However, African Union observers in Darfur say the government has been arming and directing the Janjaweed militia.

1. As George Carlin jokes in his on-stage performances, "It's America's...
...patriotic, God-given duty to bomb brown people". And we have the likes of Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell leading that charge on the basis of bringing salvation to the lost souls of Africa ands sending in missionaries and Christian aid and relief assistance after the bombings have ended to demonstrate America's true compassion to the survivors. There is a lot of money to be made by doing God's work in these places, the war profits and the tremendous blessings that donors and the government rain down on these Christian charities where less than five cents of every dollar donated ever reaches the victims.

The size and bounce of Falwell's jowls attests to just how lucrative these efforts can be.

2. This just makes me want to cry- and to think we are so busy in Iraq
..."saving" the Iraqi people, that we are not in Sudan...

If Kerry was President, how much do you want to bet we would have forces there by a week after his inauguration?

This is just so awful....a mass genocide going on and we justify an unjustifiable war on Iraq simply because it "had" a dictator that at one time committed atrocities on his people...now we have taken over that honor...
