Kathleen Parker: Psssst, imminent threat, pass it on
Edited on Wed Oct-08-03 03:25 PM by Skinner
So, has the Orlando Sentinel's resident whore completely lost it? I haven't had the time to review the Kay report, but I suspect that she is stretching what is in it...

Published October 8, 2003

<snip>

Imagine my surprise when I read that Kay's report confirmed that Iraq posed no imminent threat to the United States or our allies and that, therefore, there was no justification for war against Iraq.

Had Kay been lying in that earlier story? Faking us out? Teasing with promises to keep us riveted only to make us the world's deadliest fools later on?

So one might think unless one bothered to read Kay's actual report -- rather than news stories about the report by reporters and headline writers whose preference for bad news -- if not a Democratic president -- is no longer in question.

What Kay really says in his report is that he and his inspectors have found "dozens of WMD-related program activities and significant amounts of equipment that Iraq concealed from the United Nations during the inspections that began in late 2002."

2. Nope - the quotes reveal all
."..laboratories *SUITABLE* for chemical..."

"....biological warfare research and a prison lab complex *POSSIBLY* used in human testing of biological agents.."

They got nuttin. Even after 6 months of UNFETTERED access (which they claim the UN never had) and total access to ALL Iraqi personel, which they claimed was ever allowed under UN inspections.

For visting Freepers - By the way Rush - remember when hen you called Blix Insepctor Clouseau (with appropriate Pink Panther music)? In the interest of fairness, what special name do you have for Kay and the Boys?

3. Labs suitable for chemical and biological warfare
Oh for the love of God, EVERY LABORATORY IS SUITABLE FOR THAT. If the lab isn't able to grow cultures of botulism, or some kind of toxin, then either the lab has NO funding, or the lab is run by people like Bush and Schwarzenazi. God, every single day my hatred of the right increases exponentially...
