Stupidest, most dumb ass comment I have ever heard!
Edited on Tue Sep-27-05 06:26 PM by rzemanfl
"Air Force Gen. Richard Myers. who will leave his post as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the end of this week, said the United States must win in Iraq because the 'outcome and consequences of defeat are greater than World War II.'"

http://www.armytimes.com third bullet down under "Headlines."

Yeah, those Iraqi insurgent submarines will sink our ships, their fleets of long range bombers will lay waste to our cities. They will invade us and subjugate us under the conqueror's jack boot heel.

2. If there is any truth in it - it is because we have made
the terrorists who now reside in Iraq as dangerous to world stability as Hitler and his regime.

Yes, I feel safer with the Republicans in control of our safety. :sarcasm:

3. this is a general speaking?
Which tree did he fall out of?

The US forces proper don't need to be in Iraq as we have the UN - they can sort it out.

5. What is a must win?
When can the Bush Crime Family declare "Victory"? What will it look
like? How many years and deaths to come? My feeling is,we will never
win,I don't see it nor can I even envision winning.Their are reportedly
more than a billion Muslims in the world,if just 10% hate us thats
100 million,if 10% of those hate us and would like to see harm come to
us thats 10 million,if 10% of those that hate desire harm to us and have the means to achieve their goal thats 1 million Muslims who have the hate, desire and means to harm Americans....1,000,000 loose cannons
Another thing, the Saudis are threatened by the US oil grab it could
undermine their status as well as OPEC.I can't see it,winning in Iraq.
It took 10 yrs to defeat the Soviets in Afghanistan with help from the
USA,now the tables are turned America like a giant water buffalo is
stuck in the death-pits of Iraq.....

6. worse than that,
Yeah, those Iraqi insurgent submarines will sink our ships, their fleets of long range bombers will lay waste to our cities. They will invade us and subjugate us under the conqueror's jack boot heel.

Worse than that, they'll sell their oil in Euros. The joke will be on US! From an essay written in 2003 by William Clark at http://www.ratical.org/ratville/CAH/RRiraqWar.html -

Although apparently suppressed in the U.S. media, one of the answers to the Iraq enigma is simple yet shocking. The upcoming war in Iraq war is mostly about how the CIA, the Federal Reserve and the Bush/Cheney administration view hydrocarbons at the geo-strategic level, and the unspoken but overarching macroeconomic threats to the U.S. dollar from the euro. The Real Reasons for this upcoming war is this administration's goal of preventing further OPEC momentum towards the euro as an oil transaction currency standard, and to secure control of Iraq's oil before the onset of Peak Oil (predicted to occur around 2010). However, in order to pre-empt OPEC, they need to gain geo-strategic control of Iraq along with its 2nd largest proven oil reserves. This essay will discuss the macroeconomics of the `petrodollar' and the unpublicized but real threat to U.S. economic hegemony from the euro as an alternative oil transaction currency.

This and other creepy PetroEuro scenarios were discussed in Nov '03 in this article http://www.ccc.nps.navy.mil/si/nov03/middleEast.asp

7. Well, if we had gone after Saudi Arabia, the folks who attacked
us on 9/11, this wouldn't be an issue, would it?

8. Of course, then it wouldn't be 1 million Muslims who'd hate us
Edited on Tue Sep-27-05 10:50 PM by AnyoneButBush2000
But 1 billion Muslims, because we would be occupying and defiling Mecca. And then we'd prove to the terrorists that they're exactly right.
