"Walter Scott" takes a shot at Chavez & Castro
As you may know, "Walter Scott's Personality Parade", the gossip column in the Parade magazine supplement of hundreds of Sunday Papers, is really written by Edward Klein, author of The Truth About Hillary. It is typically right wing, mean-spirited & judgemental, and often contains borderline slander & misinformation. All for the consumption of joe & jolene six pack. I suspect many of the questions are submitted by the celebrity's publicist instead of "fans".

This week, in between linking Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban & saying James Woods is a slut but its ok because he's a guy, Edward/"Walter" takes a shot at Hugo Chavez, saying he is propping up Castro fninancially in the wake of the Soviet Union's collapse. He calls him a "Marxist Dictator", rather than, say "Democratically elected president who survived a US-government backed coup".

For a large segment of America's population, that one paragraph in Parade is the most they'll ever hear about Chavez, and he'll be known to them as a "Marxist", or basically, equal to Stalin & Lenin.

I tried to link it, but Parade doesn't post "Walter's" current column. See for yourself: http://archive.parade.com/2005/1009/1009_personality.html
