Don't Bomb Us - A blog by Al Jazeera Staffers
I just wanted to say thank you to all the bloggers who have been linking to us and spreading the word. You guys rock!

We've also recieved an overwhelming number of e-mails from people across the world (including many from Americans who assured us that the Memo horrified them just as much as it did us).

Please keep those e-mails rolling in and feel free to leave a comment. Your solidarity and support means a lot to us.

2. Let's keep this in front of the public...
If you blog, please consider linking or trackbacking to the following sites:

Don't Bomb Us - A blog by Al Jazeera Staffers
Al Jazeera staff site blog. The blog is very balanced and level-headed. Kudos to the Al Jazeera staffers...I don't know if I'd be as gracious if someone powerful may have been trying to kill me.

The blogsite of Boris Johnson, MP
Boris Johnson the outspoken member of Parliament that "set it off"
by pledging to publish the banned Blair/Bush/Al Jezeera memo

BlairWatch Blog
BlairWatch is also heading up a project to publish the memo when it becomes available. The main page for this action is "We're Prepared To Pay The Price Of Freedom, Are You?"

And, if you blog, consider publishing the memo when it comes available in tandem with the rest of the supporting blog sites.

3. Sigh.....
I don't know what disgusts me more, the fact that I would believe my government is now quite capable of doing such....

Or reading some of the mouth-breathing freeper-types leaving comments on that blog. The one about wanting to drop a 10 kiloton nuclear device on al-Jazeera's HQ is particularly frightning.

See, Qatar has slightly over 800,000 people. Of which only 15-20% are Qatari. All the rest are expat workers. 80% of the population live in Doha.

And 15-25%% of those expats are Westerners working here for the petroleum companies, infrastructure and business, or education. Education City in Doha plays host to branch campuses of Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar, (the first Western-style medical school in the area), Carnegie Mellon University (Business and Computer Science), Texas A&M University (Petrochemical Engineering), Virginia Commonwealth University (Fine Arts and Communications), and Georgetown University (School of Foriegn Service.) All of which have US students as well as students from other countries.

(Disclaimer, I work at WCMC-Q)

Don't these idiots know how badly just the *thought* of this memo actually being true has damaged opinion of the US here and in the region?? Don't they have any idea how many people from the US and UK, (and other Western countries) would get hurt or killed?

Or is it they just don't care?
