1. Look at the links at the bottom of the page
if you have any questions about where the Sun-Sentinal stands on the Science vs. ID issue. Five out of five espousing ID mythology.

2. Those are google adwords
The far right is simply using google's greed to advance their ant-science agenda. My suggestion would be to complain to Google's management (not that it'll help- Google won't even comply with trademark law and has seemed awfully cozy with the far right with some of their adwords decisions in the past).

3. what a well educated and informed school board!!!!
Edited on Sun Nov-27-05 10:48 PM by MaineYooper

School Board member Stephanie Kraft agrees. To her, religious explanations about the origins of life are as informative as scientific ones.

"Personally, I don't understand how evolution works," Kraft said. "I don't understand how you went from one cell and then all of a sudden you got man. I think it makes as much sense as saying God created man."

What a freakin' moron. Yeah, I'd say that it's pretty clear that she doesn't understand how evolution works if the best she can come up with is

...you went from one cell and then all of a sudden you got man.

Come to think of it, that's actually creationism, not evolution. And this is coming from one of the people charged with making the decisions for the school district. Criminy, it makes me want to scream.

4. First intelligently design your ballots, Broward county!
Then worry about how the universe began!

5. SCHOOL BOARDS HAVE NO BUSINESS CHOOSING CURRICULUM
Sorry for shouting but I am getting sick of it. The business of a school board is to hire a competent school administrators, give them an adequate budget and provide modern safe school buildings. Period. Administrators should hire and supervise competent teachers. It is the teachers who should be making curriculum decisions. I don't care if it is reading, biology, or physical education - school boards are not qualified to know what is best so thery should just butt out or better yet, never butt in. Rant over.
